These compositions and arrangements for string orchestra and piano are based on a very personal vision on how children play together in an orchestra environment from a very early age onwards. Taking pleasure in playing music together, combined with the playability of the material are the points of departure. The strength consists of: first, second and third violin, cello, double bass, plus a supporting piano part. (You will also find an optional viola part. However, this part is not independent, but is usually similar to the third violin part.). The piano part has an accompanying function.
The material is very suitable for elementary ensemble play and sound development. The parts each are attractive to play and the music is very comprehensible for children. The third violin part is usually a little easier to play than the first and second, so each child in the ensemble can participate on his or her own level.
The compositions and arrangements for string orchestra and piano are divided into two levels: Level A (indication: two years of lessons): all violin parts in first position Level B (indication: three years of lessons): third position in the first violin part.
