The Teacher
My violin education is aimed at young pupils between the ages of around 7 to 18 years. On the one hand, the development of basic techniques is founded on a structural treatment of the renowned etude schools, while on the other hand it is based on a broad musical coaching in repertoire of a variety of genres and stylistic periods.
For initial education, my own material is used and forms the basis of my own new method.
This material is now available through this website. I hope you and your pupils will enoy playing it!
The Composer
While teaching young pupils and working with youth orchestras, I found the available repertoire sadly lacking in both educational content and musical expression.
Adaptations from "adult" orchestral works are either too diffult to play, or too much watered down to be interesting to hear. On the other hand, orchestral works expressly written for children too often will not do justice to every player's abilities.
On this website you will find works for junior string orchestras that are fun to play and that challenges a child's abilities.
